This project with NIH is entitled " In TOUCH ", Innovative Technology-based Outreach and Utilization of Client Home-testing to Improve Chlamydia/Gonorrhea Re-testing. The Principal Investigator, Heidi Bauer, MD, is proposing to direct staff at the Office of Medical and Scientific Affairs in Richmond, CA to conduct an evaluation of whether offering streamlined re-testing options, including home-based vaginal swab and express visits, and implementing automated reminder systems can increase re-testing rates in Title X family planning clinics in California. PHFE will act as the application, fiscal and administrative agent for the STD Control Branch.
