Child Care Connections

Description

Our mission is to bring child care, business, and community development sectors together to support and streamline the process of developing child care facilities in Orange County. Our vision is to be a strong and diverse group of community partners working together to ensure the availability of affordable, quality child care for families in Orange County. Child care centers are a vital resource to our communities. Whether you are launching your first child care center, preschool or looking to expand, Child Care Connections (CCC) is here to help. CCC provides one-on-one consultations with child care operators to assess your strengths and accomplish your business goals. We provide training to help improve your business development and guide you through the facilities development process; technical assistance and resources to develop a successful business plan; resources to help obtain city permits and variances; referrals to architects and contractors for building or remodeling child care centers; and technical assistance with state licensing requirements. As a community partner we collaborate with other community based organizations to inform policy makers and the public about the benefits of quality affordable child care – for children, families, employers, and community wide economic growth. Our goal is to act as a voice for the child care industry by working with countywide stakeholders to mitigate land use and financial barriers to child care facility developers. We advocate on behalf of child care with local governments, financial institutions, real estate developers, city planning and zoning departments and economic development.
